This was a great quick stop - but also a long rest stop. Lots of beautiful nature and plants. I would not go into it thinking botanical garden though, it's definitely a different vibe. Naturally grown and currated. Small visitor center with some educational portions - which is getting an extension soon. We even saw some people start on bikes here and ride all the way into town!

We had such a wonderful experience visiting The Arboretum with my boyfriend and our dog. This is easily one of the most beautiful places we have visited in Kentucky. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, peaceful, and well-maintained everything was. The gardens are absolutely stunning, with countless varieties of flowers, trees, and plants creating beautiful scenery everywhere you look. We spent hours walking along the trails, enjoying the fresh air and taking in the natural beauty around us. There were so many different types of trees and colorful flowers in bloom, making every section feel unique and worth exploring. One of our favorite parts was seeing all the wildlife. We spotted many different birds throughout the gardens, and it made the whole experience feel even more connected to nature. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and perfect for escaping the noise and stress of everyday life. We also loved that it was such a great place to visit with our dog. The wide paths and open spaces made it enjoyable for all of us, and we felt very welcome throughout our visit. Studied at UK over 10 years ago and only got to visit the Arboretum once. It was quite nostalgic to visit last weekend with my husband and a former classmate. It's been well kept. Lovely to see the Alums care for and cherish it. Didn't get to stay long due to the weather that day but happy we could stop by.

Such a beautiful place. We visited at the end of May and it was so lush and green. It's good for walking, cycling, running and even bird watching! Some of the trees are tagged and you car learn about the trees and some history too. Very relaxing overall. Plenty of parking spots available.

This Arboretum is beautiful with many trails and little coves with different themes scattered about. It's so fun to come throughout the year to see the change in plants and flowers. It's dog friendly!
